Fleets

Krown is the choice of more Commercial vehicle Fleets than all our competitors combined.

There are not many areas in the Fleet industry where costs can be cut.  One of the best cost cutting measures lies in ‘preventative maintenance’ of vehicles and equipment.  It is most often cheaper to prevent problems than to diagnose and fix them.

Closely related to ‘preventative maintenance’ would be taking measures to extend the useful life of fleet vehicles.  If, for example, a fleet were in the habit in the past of cycling their vehicles every 6 or 7 years, what about taking measures to extend the life of those same vehicles to 9 or 10 years?

Very often fleets are reluctant to keep vehicles past a certain period of time because those vehicles, as they age, make for unbearable maintenance costs.  Krown can help reduce or eliminate many of those costs.

In the South-western Ontario area, here are some of the Fleets using Krown on their vehicles and some comments as to where they derive benefits:

  • City of London (Cars, Pickups, Minivans, Vans, Loaders, Graders, Salting Fleet)

Fleet Testimonials

Here are some comments some have made after using the Krown product for years in regular, preventative short-term or long-term maintenance or after spraying their fleet vehicles and equipment for some years:

“The City has saved money in reduced body and mechanical maintenance costs, increased vehicle appearance standards and higher vehicle/equipment resale values.  As an added bonus our in-house technicians have indicated a greater ease in servicing our fleet due to a dramatic decrease of seized components since we began using Krown Rust Control.”

- City of London ON

“We are a big supporter of your product, we do not have as many wiring related problems as we used to have…..no more ‘green’ wires.”

-  City of Windsor ON

“We service a fleet of refrigerated units and previous to using Krown on these units, we were conducting three to four service calls a week due to corroded wiring.  Since we started using…Krown….we only do one service call every three to four months for this problem.”

-  Myer’s Truck & Trailer Repairs Ltd., Leamington ON

“You first asked me to try a can of Krown approximately 5 years ago and ever since then we have been using your product.  I have tried many other brands over the years but none that are as ‘multi-purpose’ as Krown.  It works as an excellent penetrant as well as lubricant for hinges, clevis pins, locks……We also found that it works well on electrical plugs to stop corrosion and is not messy.  We now have all 3 terminals using your product and all technicians agree they have not used any one product that works so well.  Krown not only saves time on maintenance repairs in the shop, it also cuts down on down-time for the units.  It has proven to be an all-round bonus product we will continue to use.”

-  Verspeeten Cartage Ltd., Ingersoll ON

“During the winter of 1998 I ended up with a chip of chrome off the front bumper.  As time went on, even though the truck was washed a minimum of twice a week, rust was building up and running down the chrome.  It looked terrible.  I then cleaned the bumper with an SOS pad and sprayed the bumper with Krown T-40.  The rust never bled again.  I was sold on the product and have used it ever since in my shop.”

-  Fairview Carstar Collision, Essex ON

“Here at Huron Automotive in Windsor, we are always looking for products that will make our job easier.  Krown Rust Inhibitor just happens to be one of those products that we have sought for a long time.  We use this product in a wide variety of ways; rust inhibitor, lubricating (excellent lubricant), cleaning, anti-seize…….I would recommend the use of Krown Rust Inhibitor to anyone who requires a product that penetrates and lubricates like no other.”

-  Huron Automotive Services, Windsor ON

“…..just writing to let you know how impressed I am with your Krown Rust Inhibitor.  I use it on just about everything:  hinges, latches, switch contacts, seized bolts, pivots, etc.  It works great!  In addition, I only have to use about 1/3 of the product compared to others on the market and the nice thing is, it actually works!”

-  Hamilton Automotive, London ON

“I am writing to express my satisfaction with your Krown product.  I had used the aerosol can of the Krown Rust Control product, left with me as a sample, to loosen a door regulator and door locks that had seized.  I had tried other products with no success in un-seizing the window winding mechanism and the door locks.  Because it was late afternoon, I sprayed the locks and mechanism and let them sit overnight.  In the morning, they were completely freed up and working and the locks and regulator have been working great ever since.  This has sold me on your product and I will definitely promote it to my customers.”

-  Apple Auto Glass, Chatham ON

“We use the (Krown T-32) product in the outside key cylinders after we recondition our vehicles.  It greatly reduces the risk of locks freezing in the colder months.  This product also lubricates the cylinders making the locks smoother.  In addition, we have found Krown….to be a far superior penetrating fluid.  Our mechanics in our repair facility find it to be an excellent lubricant and superior for penetrating bolts in cast and aluminium heads.  It has worked better than any brand products we have used.  We would highly recommend this Krown product to anyone.”

-  Cain’s Auto Sales & Service, Straffordville ON

“We have been using Krown on our manufactured vehicles as well as our own vehicles since 1992.  It was at that time we made Krown a part of our warranty package on the Fire Trucks we manufacture.  The warranty is void if Krown is not applied annually.  It is a known fact that stainless steel and aluminium used together will generate electrolysis.  We have seen paint blister in 4-5 years as a result of electrolysis.  Krown has proven to us over the years to control this electrolysis problem.  We have never had to make a claim against Krown.”

-  C-Max Transportation Equipment, St. Jacobs ON

“The cost of replacing fleet vehicles is very expensive so extending the life of equipment is very important to us.  We have seen that the Krown product has enhanced the appearance of our vehicles and helped to keep the maintenance costs and downtime to a minimum.  We are also pleased with Krown’s penetrating and lubricating abilities.  It has been beneficial on the battery boxes and electrical connections on our tractors and the upper couplers, roll-up rear doors and lights and wiring on our trailers…..Without hesitation I would recommend Krown to anyone interested in maintaining the appearance and extending the life of their vehicles.”

-  Muir’s Cartage Ltd., Concord ON

“We….use Krown on the piano hinges of Kenworth truck doors because it doesn’t collect dust and stays in the hinges and continues to lubricate them.  We use Krown on all our power units, window winders, slack adjusters and clevis pins.  We have found Krown to be a great penetrating oil and lubricant.  We also use Krown on all our new steel to keep it from rusting while it is stored in an unheated building.  We use Krown on all our industrial equipment because it keeps the linkages lubricated, hydraulic hoses come off easier and it keeps body panels from rusting out.  We have used the Krown product on relay switches and the plug-ins on the back of tractor cabs for the trailer lights, with excellent results.  It keeps the wiring connections clean and prevents the plugs from seizing.  We have found the Krown product to be an excellent ‘general purpose’ product for use in our shop.  One of the main reasons we use Krown is because it saves our technicians time when they are working on our equipment.”

-  McKenzie & Henderson Ltd., Arkona ON

“I am writing to let you know about our satisfaction with your Krown Rust Inhibitor product we use on our Fleet of School Buses.  We operate from 6 locations in and around the London area and north.  We have been using Krown….and we are very satisfied with the results.  To date we have been using it on steel brake lines.  Initially, when we started using the product we were impressed with the way it seemed to ‘bite’ into existing rust on brake lines and slowed the rusting of the lines to a virtual crawl.  We have been using it with excellent success on wiring and harnesses that run underneath the bus engines to the battery boxes and that therefore are exposed to a great deal of moisture.  As well, we have found a vast improvement in lights and wiring for clearance lights and especially in keeping clevis pins on our parking brakes freed up and lubricated.  In short, we are very pleased with the benefits we see on our fleet and feel the Krown product is one of the best general purpose products available to fleets.”
